2026 Pet of the Month Sponsors

The Pet of the Month program is very important to the mission of OMHS to find homes for the animals at our shelter. OMHS strives to have as many sponsors as possible for this important program. Local businesses, OMHS members and friends provide the financial backbone of this program with their sponsorship. Beginning in 2002, the Pet of the Month has provided advertising of pets ready for adoption in the Shopping News, Richland Observer, Boscobel Dial, and Muscoda Progressive for one flat fee for the entire year. Countless animals have been adopted in the 20+ years of the program! Each business and member name is listed once per month in all of the publications, 12 months of the year.

Join the Pet of the Month Program!

Please consider joining the Pet of the Month program to help promote the mission of OMHS to help pets in need find a new, caring and safe home! Advertising in local papers has proved that having a reminder each month does help with this essential goal to find homes for pets. Each month, a print ad is placed in local papers to advertise a cat or dog ready for adoption from our OMHS shelter. The ad includes names of the sponsors, providing good exposure for businesses and people who go the extra mile for the welfare of animals in our care.

The Pet of the Month program is beginning its 21 year in 2026. We would sincerely like to thank the business and members listed above, some who have been supporting the POTM program for all 21 years!

Sponsor a Cat

You can sponsor one of our cats by covering all or part of their adoption fee and boost their odds of finding their forever home! A sponsorship can also go towards special treats or toys, or medication and care for our special needs kitties. Below are some of our longer term and special needs cats for sponsorship.
